GAiT Podziały — Privacy policy
1. Developer and scope
GAiT Podziały is created and maintained by Bartosz Baum, an independent individual developer. The app is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or maintained by Gdańskie Autobusy i Tramwaje Sp. z o.o. (GAiT). For privacy questions, contact [email protected].
This policy covers the GAiT Podziały app. GAiT operates podzialy.gait.pl and tram.gait.pl and is responsible for the source account and employment records held on its systems.
2. Data the app processes
You enter your GAiT user ID (driver number) and password. The app uses them to sign in directly to the appropriate GAiT service and retrieve the information available to your account.
Retrieved information may include your name and driver number; assignments, dates, working hours, duty codes, start and end locations, duration and comments; and document titles, dates, numbers and links. Assignment locations are work information supplied by GAiT, not your device’s GPS location.
The app also stores account selection and default-account settings, document read status, the last retrieval time, and your theme preference.
3. Purposes and developer access
The app processes this information only to authenticate you, display your assignments and document list, provide offline access to previously retrieved information, and remember your settings and read status.
The developer does not operate a backend that receives your credentials or GAiT records and cannot access the data stored in the app on your device. The app does not upload that information to developer-controlled servers.
4. Storage and security
Passwords are saved in the device’s secure storage using Expo SecureStore (iOS Keychain and Android encrypted storage backed by Android Keystore). Account IDs and names, cached assignments and document metadata, read status and settings are saved in ordinary local app storage, outside SecureStore. The app therefore does keep a local copy of retrieved information; the source records remain on GAiT’s systems.
Connections to podzialy.gait.pl and tram.gait.pl use HTTPS. The app does not provide its own cloud synchronization. Operating-system backups, device transfers and secure-storage retention are controlled by the platform and your device settings. No storage or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
5. Recipients and external services
Your credentials are sent directly from your device to podzialy.gait.pl or tram.gait.pl for authentication. GAiT receives the requests needed to provide the service, including your network IP address, and may retain server logs under its own policies. The developer does not control GAiT’s records or retention practices.
Document links open in your device’s external browser. The destination website and browser handle those visits and any downloaded files under their own privacy practices. Browser history, cookies and downloads are separate from the app’s local storage.
The app does not sell or rent personal data, share it for advertising, or integrate advertising, analytics, tracking or third-party crash-reporting services. It does not request access to GPS location, contacts, photos, camera or microphone.
6. Retention, deletion and stopping access
Saved credentials and account data remain on your device until you remove the account in the app. The offline cache is replaced when fresh information is successfully retrieved; it has no automatic expiry period.
To remove an account, open “Konta”, press and hold the account, choose “Wyloguj”, and confirm. This deletes that account’s saved password, account entry, cached schedule and document list, and read-document status from the app’s storage. Repeat for each saved account to stop the app accessing all your GAiT accounts. General preferences, such as your theme, may remain.
Remove accounts before uninstalling: iOS Keychain entries can survive app deletion. Removing an account does not erase operating-system backups, external-browser data or downloaded documents; manage those using the relevant device or browser controls. It does not delete your GAiT account or records on GAiT servers. Contact GAiT about those records.
7. Privacy choices and rights
You choose whether to provide credentials and use the app. Without them, the app cannot retrieve your private GAiT information. You can stop further access and remove saved account data using the steps above.
Where applicable under the GDPR, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection, and the right to withdraw consent where consent is the legal basis. You may complain to a data protection authority, including Poland’s President of the Personal Data Protection Office (Prezes UODO). Contact the developer about the app and GAiT about records it controls. The developer cannot retrieve, correct or erase GAiT server records or remotely delete data from your device.
8. Contacting the developer
If you email [email protected], Bartosz Baum receives your email address and whatever information you choose to send. This voluntary correspondence is separate from data handled locally by the app. It is processed through email service providers to answer your request, on the basis of the legitimate interest in providing support (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)), and retained only as long as needed to resolve the request and meet applicable legal obligations or address related claims.
Do not send passwords or unnecessary employment records. You may use the same email address for privacy requests, including requests to delete support correspondence, subject to any applicable retention obligations.
9. Intended users
The app is intended for people authorized to use the GAiT employee services. It is not directed at children.
10. Changes to this policy
Changes will be published on this page with an updated date. If a change requires additional notice or permission under applicable law, that notice will be provided or permission obtained before the new processing begins.
